Over 75 years Harvey’s have been involved with numerous collectors seeking pieces either by a particular maker or items made in a particular wood. From clocks and barometers to breakfront bookcases designed to display a collection of Georgian Silver, lepidoptery or curiosities and intaglios.

The list is endless and as varied as people are themselves. The exhibition invites you to view and acquire pieces which illustrate many aspects of the secret art of collecting. Bronzes, engravings and pictures, collectors’ cabinets, travelling cases, books, collections and furniture will tell the story of collecting at Harvey’s.

There will also be other pieces relating to “The Secret Art of Collecting” in the showrooms at 86 Corn Street, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX28 6BU.
