Chinese early 18th century Kangxi Mark and Period Small deep foliated edged Plate made at Jingdezhen.
Painted in underglaze blue to show to Mongol warriors on horse back in a hilly and grassy landscape'. The warriors are brandishing swords and scimitars. The outside on the cavetto and down the inside are panels alternating between mounted warriors and flowers growing off rock work. The panels are separated by the Buddhist 'wan pattern' the sign for peace.
