This silk embroidery was made in Sindh in the late 19th century.
The embroidery is worked in three panels in the classic Sindhi colours of a pink red, with the dye derived from cochineal, and green silk on a cotton ground.
The textile has been conserved and mounted on a stretcher. It is very slightly stained but otherwise in good condition.
