The town of Bewdley lies on the River Severn at the gateway of the Wyre Forest National Nature Reserve, with the famous Bewdley Bridge designed by Thomas Telford.

Bewdley is home to the Severn Valley Railway, and is a popular tourist destination, with the West Midland Safari Park close by.

The town shows a mix of styles, including an 18th century market hall, behind which is The Shambles, an old butchers market now a folk museum.

Bewdley is well known for it's music scene, and has a wide range of independent shops for inhabitants and visitors alike. It also hosts one of the largest inland river regattas in the country.
