Witney Antiques have been established in the market town of Witney for over 45 years, the principals being Joy and Stephen Jarrett and their daughter Rebecca Scott. They specialize in fine 17th, 18th and early 19th century furniture with the emphasis on originality, colour and patina. They are also internationally acclaimed for their outstanding collection of English embroideries ranging from the rarest raised work examples to the largest collection of fine samplers for sale in the UK. Many museums in the UK and USA are amongst their clients.
A long list of publications, including superbly illustrated sampler catalogues are listed on their website as well as the most recent edition of 'Samplers' published by Shire Books and written by Rebecca Scott.
Expertly curated exhibitions are held each year in their Witney premises.
Stephen Jarrett is a Livery-man of The Clockmakers Company and a Member of the Guild of Art Scholars, Dealers and Collectors and for many years was a council member of The British Antique Dealers Association.
Exhibitors at the British Antique Dealers Fair, London and until it's closure one of the worlds great international fairs, Grosvenor House.
Their associate company, Witney Restorations Ltd, offer an outstanding restoration service in purpose designed workshops (established 35 years).
