- Liriodendron tulipifera (Yellow Poplar) also known as the tulip tree, American tulip tree, tuliptree, tulip poplar, whitewood and fiddletree is the western hemisphere representative of the two species of genus Liriodendron, and the tallest eastern hardwood.

- Brasilier always tries to give the quintessence of a subject with little effect, to say a lot with a little, like Japanese artists who focus on asceticism and simplicity.

- The brushwork is reminiscent of sumi-e painting: dynamic and spontaneous, and achieved by the artist physically moving around the canvas using long brushes in order to create a sweeping, light touch of the paint.
