18th Century Montgomeryshire Oak Dresser and Rack (18th century Wales)

A fine 18th Century Mongomeryshire Oak Dresser and Rack the rack with deeply moulded cornice, an attractive front top frieze, horizontal backboards and three display shelves with moulded plate retainers; the base unit having three plain-fronted drawers set within the three pipe-moulded openings are above the most attractively-shaped lower frieze with pipe-moulded edges; standing on four baluster-turned front legs above the potboard with moulded front edge. With some minor restorations and replaced brassware, this delightful and most utilitarian piece has an excellent colour and patina.
