Description / Expertise

A good example of a Staffordshire porcelain pastille burner in the form of a romantic cottage. These Staffordshire pieces are sometimes refered to as "cottage ornee's".
The pastille burner is complete with its original slider which was used for inserting the pastille cone.
The modelling and gilt decoration is exceptionally well executed and the piece is in good condition.
