Description / Expertise
A rare sampler worked in band form and divided into three distinct sections. Worked in coloured silks and metallic threads onto an unbleached linen ground. The top two sections comprising alphabets and a moralistic text. The bottom section being purely decorative and charmingly portrays a shepherd and shepherdess within a country background.
