Croydon School came into existence in 1825, it’s origins going back to the Clerkenwell workhouse and School founded in 1702. Today the school continues to flourish in Saffron Waldron.

Typical of Quaker school embroidery with distinctive black lettering and extract text.
Contained in the original maple frame.
