A fine mahogany two-day marine chronometer signed on the 3-inch silvered dial Molyneux, 42 Lombard St, London. No 849. Original blued steel hour and minute hands with subsidiary dials for seconds and state of wind . The chain fusee spotted movement signed with cut bimetallic balance, blued steel helical balance spring and Earnshaw-type spring detent. Milled brass bezel with glass. The 3-tier mahogany box has brass handles to the sides, brass corners and a bone plaque.
