Description / Expertise
This Georgian childrens chair is constructed with shaped pine boards which have been decorated in mustard coloured paint of the period. Because of its simplicity they were usually made by a member of the family. It has a cut out for a potty in the seat which would normally have held a pewter pot. There are two holes for a restraining bar to hold the child and a carrying handle on the back board.
