Description / Expertise

The inkstand is complete with a centre candlestick holder decorated with a butterfly above heart-shaped acanthus leaf flowers and a gilt-cast circular moulding. The cut glass ink bottles and gilt-metal lion mask lids sit on matching gilt cast decorated mouldings. The bronzed metal pen stand has an embossed moulded edge with crisply carved gilt-brass carry handles above an elegant frieze that is decorated with flower-heads and scrolling leaves and stands on embossed bun feet.
