Description / Expertise

A superb 17th century Oak Centre Table. The thick 2-plank top sits on a sturdy open frame base with ring turned column legs. Joined and pegged, this substantial table from the Age of Oak is in wonderful condition. The top has golden tones and a smooth patina and surface. As it is heavy, it fortunately locates onto the base, enabling the 2 parts to be moved separately. This type of table would have been used for dining and any other purpose in a fine 17th century country house or castle.
