Description / Expertise

Two bottle Betjemann CoromandelTantalus with silver-plate carry handle with matching decorative corner supports. The decanters are hobnail cut, with star cut bases and faceted stoppers.

The fabulous lead crystal Decanters can be removed by pressing the the lock mechanism down which will allow the carrying handle to be pivoted backwards.

Operating the lock and key: You have to push key into the barrel of the lock and whilst keeping the key pushed in to the sprung barrel turn the key anti clockwise will unlock the Tantalus, then push down on the barrel allowing you to pull the handle either towards or away from you to remove the decanters, if its already locked you will not be able to do this until the Tantalus is unlocked.
