Etching by Zorn after his painting of the previous year. Published state, edition of 75.
The names of the members of the Idun Society who are portrayed, are scratched into the lower border of the plate.
In the foreground Harald Wieselgren, the Secretary of the Society, a prominent librarian and founder-member, proposes the toast, to the 30th anniversary of the founding of Idun, while in the doorway stand, left to right Hans Hildebrand (archaeologist); Axel Key (founder-member, professor of pathology etc ); Carl Friedrick Waern (politician, civil servant and industrialist); and Adolf Nordenskold (famous explorer).
